Denise Anamani graduated from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Connecticut with a Master’s degree in Biology. She has been a lecturer in the Diagnostic Genetic Sciences program at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut since 2004. She received the Certified Laboratory Specialist in Molecular Biology (CLSpMB) credential from the National Credentialing Agency (NCA) in 1997 and the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Technologist in Immunology certificate in 1991.
Ms. Anamani is the Academic Coordinator of Laboratory Education for the students in the Diagnostic Genetic Sciences Program with a molecular diagnostics concentration. She works in the Department of Allied Health Sciences.
Ms. Anamani sits on the Board of Directors of the Association of Genetic Technologists. She also sits on the Board of Certification of the American Society for Clinical Pathology and is a member and active participant in the Association for Molecular Pathology.
Prior to teaching both lecture and laboratory courses at the University of Connecticut, Ms. Anamani worked as a laboratory technologist for 15 years in clinical molecular pathology, immunology and chemistry.
