Week 2 Activities and Discussion
In this week we focused mainly on genetic counseling. This is the process of determining risks and the presence of genetic conditions. We also described how and why one might go about getting genetic testing done. While there was no lab this week, we certainly became far more knowledgeable about genetic diseases and predispositions!

In this slideshow we explained what genetic testing is and gave some reasons individuals may want to get genetic testing. Some of these motivations may be to determine if a person is at risk for developing a disease, or to try and explain why a pregnancy is not going according to plan.
