Students are expected to uphold UConn’s standards for academic honesty. Review the Academic Integrity Policy for definitions of misconduct and disciplinary procedures. - Continuous Registration Requirement
Graduate students must maintain active status by registering each semester unless on an approved Leave of Absence. More details can be found here. - Leave of Absence
Students who need to temporarily pause their studies must request a formal Leave of Absence through the Graduate School. Contact your advisor or the Program Director to initiate this process.
Program-Specific Procedures
- Plan of Study
All students must submit a Plan of Study before completing 18 credits. A template and guidance are available on the Student SharePoint site (NetID login required). - Internship / Capstone Project
All students must complete a supervised professional experience. Learn more about project expectations, enrollment options (ISG 5091, 5099, GRAD 5930, ISG 5496), and required paperwork here. - Satisfactory Academic Progress
Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate progress toward degree completion. Failure to meet standards may result in probation or dismissal per Graduate School policy. - Independent Study & Electives
Independent study courses must be approved in advance using the appropriate forms and learning contracts. Some elective courses require instructor consent.
