LEDGE is a series of workshops for middle and high school age students to learn more about clinical, or diagnostic, genetics while networking with top-tier female geneticists in our area. The program is free for students ages 12-18, with workshops in July tailored for those 15-18 years old and workshops in August for those 12-14 years old. Students are welcome to attend as many workshops as they want in the given monthly series, as each week’s topic is different.

By the end of the LEDGE series, students will be better informed about:

1. Healthcare genetics topics
2. Laboratory techniques used clinically
3. Opportunities offered to students of all backgrounds for studies and careers in the field
