Cristine graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Diagnostic Genetic Sciences from UConn in 2023. During her undergraduate studies, she interned at Baystate Medical Center as a scientist in molecular virology and immunology and completed a validation project using a Roche Diagnostics assay for Epstein Barr Virus. Cristine's passion for genetics and genomics extended beyond her undergraduate years into graduate school, where she found a passion for precision medicine, pharmacogenomics, and biotechnology. She hopes to use her PSM in HCG to pursue a career in precision medicine and expand her repertoire of skills as a medical professional on and off the bench!

Throughout her undergraduate and graduate careers, Cristine has also been a member of UConn's Genome Ambassador Program: an outreach initiative from UConn's Institute for Systems Genomics to increase genetics awareness and literacy within the UConn community and beyond. She continues to be an active member of the leadership team and the graduate student representative of GAP's social media outreach committee, where she utilizes her skills in digital art and academic training in genetics to create educational media content.

Aside from her graduate studies and involvement in GAP, Cristine is not just about genetics. Her extracurricular hobbies include reading, creative writing, photography, and painting!
